KEY PROJECTS

Ukrainian movies screenings

Ukrainian movies screenings

We arrange screenings of Ukrainian movies with English subtitles in Cyprus cinemas, complementing them with associated events such as book presentations, photo exhibitions, and fairs featuring Ukrainian handmade goods. Past events have included the 2020 screening of "Ilovaysk," the 2021 presentation of "Infernal Guidon, or Cossack Christmas," and the 2023 showcase of "Mavka, the Forest Song" and "The Day of Independence." In 2024, we aim to host a Ukrainian movie festival and are actively seeking sponsors for this initiative.

Ukrainian team in the Limassol Carnival

The Limassol Carnival stands as the largest and most attended event in Cyprus, boasting a history of over a century. Drawing thousands of Cypriots and tourists, it garners attention both from active participants and spectators. The carnival is broadcasted live on major TV channels, and the event generates a massive online presence with hundreds of thousands of photos and videos shared on social media platforms. In 2023, the Ukrainian team made its debut, showcasing national costumes and displaying banners expressing gratitude to Cyprus. Their motto, "Light will win over darkness," serves as a powerful statement of support for Ukraine.

As part of the international effort by the Communities Army of Ukraine (CAU) under the theme "Light will triumph over darkness" to commemorate the full-scale invasion of Russia into Ukraine, we orchestrated a public rally at the main square of Nicosia, the capital of Cyprus. A large screen was set up, displaying photos depicting Russian war crimes. Using a drone, we captured a video of the flash mob, where individuals, arranged in the shape of the map of Ukraine, illuminated blue and yellow lights.
