UaMi

Italy Milan

UaMi is a non-profit and non-governmental association of progressive Ukrainians in Italy. Our goal is to create a modern and new vision of the Ukrainian diaspora in Italy. We were founded on February 27th, 2022, by young Ukrainians in response to the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine. Our first activities included welcoming Ukrainian refugees, sending humanitarian aid, fighting disinformation, and advocacy. Our members include not only Ukrainians but also Italians and citizens of other countries who appreciate Ukraine, our people, and our culture. Currently, we focus on creating cultural bridges between Ukrainians and Italians to foster mutual understanding and respect. We also aim to build the capacity and empower Ukrainians in Italy, providing economic and social growth opportunities. We engage in advocacy and strive to create a strong and inclusive community that is a valued part of both Italian and Ukrainian societies. We have been holding rallies in support of Ukraine every day (except Sunday) in the central squares of Milan, near the iconic Duomo, since our establishment.
