KEY PROJECTS
Survey of Ukrainians in Ireland
Liza Karamoushka, Dublin, March 2022
In May 2022 more that 2000 Ukrainians fleeing the war to Ireland have filled in a survey sent out by Ukrainian Action team. We've gained peculiar insights and some unexpected feedback on how Ukrainians are settling in Ireland. In Februrary 2023 more that 7000 Ukrainians fleeing the war to Ireland have filled in a survey sent out by Ukrainian Action team. We've discovered their employment status, level of English and future plans. The results of Surveys are presented to Irish government, media and civil society for better policy-making on the matters important to Ukrainian community in Ireland.
Community-building initiatives
Tiberio Ventura, 24 August 2022, Dublin
Under the first priority of our work, we run numerous initiatives that support integration of Ukrainians into Irish society. In partnership with the Irish Red Cross, we run the Ukraine Centre in Dublin, which provides refugees and families with a safe space, empowering them in solving community problems and improving the quality of community life, as well as facilitating their integration in Ireland. We organise Ukrainian Cleanups to show gratitude to the receiving community. To improve mental health of Ukrainians we organise Ukrainian hikes. Week-end in museum initiative helps Ukrainians learn more about Irish culture and history. All together these activities contribute to smooth integration of Ukrainians in Ireland.
